I just bought my first shares!
A week or so ago I bought my very first shares!
I have been wanting to get into investing for such a long time, and I finally decided to go for it.
I bought the shares on the CMC app (Iām based in Australia) and I started with $500 which I used to buy and then bought another set the next day for $1000.
Both sets were ETFs (exchange traded funds) which are basically parcels of shares in a whole range of companies.
The first set were VHY (Vanguard Australian Shares High Yield ETF) and the second set were IVV (iShares S&P 500 ETF).
Super excited to keep going with this.
If you are someone who enjoys spending money more than saving it, you might find investing to give you the best of both worlds ā the dopamine hit and enjoyment of buying something, but with the positive benefit of purchasing a money making asset.
