Money Dates is designed around a simple principle: your financial information belongs to you, and only you.
Data collection
Money Dates does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or financial information on any server. Every transaction, Money Date entry, goal, note, and setting you enter is stored only on your own device. We do not operate a backend, we do not have user accounts, and we cannot see your data — because it never leaves your phone.
Camera, microphone, and speech recognition
Money Dates requests access to your camera, microphone, and speech recognition only to power optional features you choose to use:
Camera / Photo Library — to scan a receipt so its total can be read automatically into an entry.
Microphone / Speech Recognition — to let you add an entry by speaking instead of typing.
All of this processing happens on your device. Photos and audio captured for these features are not stored, uploaded, or shared — they're used only in the moment to read the text, then discarded.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, Money Dates schedules local notifications on your device for your monthly Money Date. These are generated and delivered entirely on-device; no reminder data is sent anywhere.
Third parties
Money Dates does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share, sell, or rent any information, because we don't collect any to begin with.
Children's privacy
Money Dates is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, since it collects no information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example, if we introduce account-based features in future — we'll update this page and the date above.
In short: everything you enter stays on your device. No account, no server, no analytics, no ads.
